Your Temporary
Desert City

Elsewhere — community in the desert

So, what is Elsewhere? Skip the corporate press release talk, this is just us building something wild, together, every summer in the Monegros desert, Spain.

It's not a festival. Let's be clear: we roll up to an empty piece of land, and over about two weeks, we build a whole temporary city from scratch. Then, we make it all vanish, leaving zero trace behind. That's the whole drill.

Desert build at Elsewhere

This Is How We Do It
(The Anti-Festival Vibe)

Forget VIP areas, stages run by companies, or people paid to manage your good time. If you see a structure, a dance floor, or a meal, that only exists because one of our friends decided to create it.

Building Elsewhere in the Monegros desert
No Spectators

You don't 'attend' to consume; you commit to co-creating it. Everyone contributes.

No Money (Seriously)

We don't use cash on site. The whole place runs on gifting, mutual support, and effort. You bring what you need to survive the desert (water, food, shelter, tools, toys, gifts), and share what you can.

No Bosses

This whole thing is run by volunteers, people like you. The dream is to be totally community-owned and shaped by the people who show up.

Community gathering at Elsewhere

At its core, Elsewhere is a giant social experiment. It's where art and chaos bubble up from the collective. It's creativity, connection, and collective effort, guided by our shared principles (think Gifting, Self-Reliance, Leave No Trace... the good stuff).

Curious what that actually means in practice?
Go read the principles.

Principles of Elsewhere

Our principles aren't rules imposed from above. They're commitments we hold together. They come from years of building a temporary city in the desert and are inspired by the original Burning Man principles.

Tickets!!!

How-To-Get-In Guide

Elsewhere is built on two things: your ticket money and your sweat equity.

The cash covers the boring-but-necessary stuff like toilets, safety, site infrastructure, and art grants. This isn’t a festival run by “The Man” — it’s us. Every single ticket holder is expected to volunteer. Nobody gets paid, and nobody gets in free. Welcome to the team.

Other Ways To Get In (Or Give Back)

We’re all about radical inclusion. We also need to pay the bills. Here are a few other ticket paths:

The VIP Ticket

Voluntarily Inflated Price

Don’t be fooled — there are zero perks, no bottle service, and definitely no velvet ropes. This ticket simply costs more on purpose. It’s a straight donation from you to help subsidize Low-Income tickets and fund more art.

Thanks for being awesome.

Low-Income

If money is the only thing holding you back, apply for a low-income ticket. Applications are open until March 31st.

If you apply but are unsuccessful, you’ll still have at least 9 days to buy a Wave 1 ticket before the price goes up on April 14th.

Read the full Low-Income policy →

Local Residents

If you live in or around the Monegros comarca, you may be eligible for a discounted ticket.

Carers & Accessibility

If you’re a companion assisting someone with accessibility needs, reach out for free or reduced tickets.

Future Burners

Kids & Youth

Under 14s are welcome — an optional art grant donation is appreciated.

Youth aged 14–18 get a reduced rate.

A parent or guardian must buy these alongside their own adult ticket.

Volunteer Codes (The NCA Crew)

If you’re an approved Nobodies Collective Association (NCA) volunteer, you already know the drill — check your emails.

If your code does not work on the first checkout step, try again on the “Details” page where it asks for a promo or voucher code.

IMPORTANT

The “Don’t Skip This Unless You Enjoy Problems” Section

We know. Not fun. Still very necessary.

  • Limit: Maximum two (2) tickets per person. Keep it fair for everyone.
  • ID Check: The name on your ticket must match your government-issued photo ID (Passport or European ID). If it does not, you will not get past the gate. No exceptions.
  • Buses: Not included! Details will be communicated soon.
